Chicagoan. Angelino. Parisian (at heart). Zealous Cook. World Traveler. Food Enthusiast.
A native Chicagoan living between Los Angeles, Austin and Chicago for the last decade, I have inherited an amazing food culture. My paternal grandparents: Czechoslovakian. My material grandfather: Italian American. My maternal grandmother: French Algerian. I grew up eating pasta with pork neck bone gravy, lamb stew perfumed with raisins and cinnamon and the occasional night out at the local Czech restaurant to take advantage of the never changing Tuesday special, Koprova (boiled beef with dill gravy).
Along with an amazing food culture, I’ve inherited the wanderlust “gene.” A former marketing executive, I now spend as much of my time as possible traveling, recreating dishes at home that I’ve tasted around the world and writing this blog.
Join me on my journey as I share recipes, city guides and stories from my eclectic past, my travels and the incredible people I’ve met along the way.
